Lakers Sweep A Division

Harvey completes single ‘A’ sweep as boys win 77 – 54 over Heartland.
Harvey leads from start to finish as they jumped out to a big lead and maintained it throughout the game.
The Lakers put up 29 points in the first while holding Hartland to just 9 for a 20 point lead after the first quarter. Harvey would put up another 23 in the second as Hartland added 16. The score at the half was Harvey 51 – Hartland 25.
The Huskies showed signs of life in the third as they doubled up on the Lakers 14 – 7 to cut into the lead. Heading to the fourth with Hartland down 58 – 39.
Harvey looked like they might be on the ropes early in the final quarter but then found their groove to pull away. Harvey wins the quarter 18 – 15 and the game 77 – 54 for the championship win.
Harvey’s Adam Barrieau had a game-high 32 points and 8 rebounds to take Player of The Game honours. Owen Smith added 16 points for Harvey as they take the title from Hartland.
For Hartland, it was Ethan Culberson with 16, Damon McBrine with 15 and Noah Davenport adding 11.
