Harvey pushed to the limit but wins in double overtime for back to back titles single-A titles.

With 53 fouls and 27 jump balls called, this match became a 2.5-hour marathon. The first quarter went to the Lakers as they lead by four after 20 minutes, 15 – 11.   Harvey would push the lead to six in the second and head into halftime up 32 – 26. 

The Huskies would bounce back in the third to take the quarter 18 – 8. It was Hartland heading into the fourth up 44 – 40. 

Harvey would not be denied in the 4th period as they push the game into overtime.  All knotted up 51 – 51. 

The first overtime would solve nothing, we would need a second extra frame. At 59 all heading into double OT. 

The outside shooting and pesky defence would be the difference as Harvey takes the championship 71 – 68. 

Harvey drained 11 threes as Hartland relied completely on points in the paint and rebounding.  Hartland had an unbelievable 85 rebounds to Harvey’s 57. 

Harvey’s Player of the Game Alexis Saunders scored 18 points to go with 6 dimes and 5 steals.  Kate MacLean added 12 points as Mae MacLean and Dara Glaspy both chipped in with 10 apiece.  Laura Nancekievill had a very impressive, game-high 33 points and 22 boards for the double-double in a losing cause for Hartland.  Paige Brown added 12 points and 9 rebounds while teammate Julianna Culberson collected 16 rebounds.
