Carleton North Defend Their AA Title Against Pulamoo

The #1 ranked Carleton North High School Stars are successful in defending their AA crown as they turn away the #2 ranked Miramichi Valley Pulamoo 85 – 58 to win the AA Boys Championship at TD Station.
The Stars came out on fire in the first and grabbed command of the game with a 26 – 9 lead after 10 minutes of play. The Pulamoo were not ready to go away just yet and came out and won the 2nd quarter 15 – 8 and these two went into the halftime break with Carleton North boys ahead 34 – 24
Carleton North came out in the 3rd and put this one to bed as they put up another 27 points and help Miramichi Valley to 13. It was 61 – 37 for CNHS with only 1 quarter to play. The Stars would take the final period 24 – 21 for the 85 – 58 win for the AA Boys Championship to defend the title that they won a year ago.
The Stars were led by NBIAA All-Star and Player of the Game Ashton Broad, who went off for 25 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Broad had help from fellow All-Star Yusei Yoshida, Kieran Howarth, Bryson Smith who all chipped in with 12 points. Howarth also had 14 rebounds for the double-double
The Pulamoo were led by All-Star Marcus Wilson, who picked up Player of the Game honours with his 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. He had offensive help from Jonah Young, who chipped in with 10 points
