Saint John’s Kaylee Kilpatrick is starting to get used to life on the banquet circuit.

The professional basketball player will be the guest speaker at the Final 12 banquet in her hometown on Friday.

All 12 teams will be in attendance at the uptown venue with Kilpatrick as the keynote speaker.

She was also guest speaker last summer in Fredericton when Basketball New Brunswick hosted the under-15 and under-17 Canada Basketball girls’ championships.

Kilpatrick was prepared to begin her second season in Germany, playing with Weiterstadt Basketball in Bundsliga.2 where she was a star import during the 2017-18 season.

A pre-season injury early in the fall sidelined Kilpatrick for the rest of the year. She returned home to rehab the injury, fully preparing to return to Germany for 2019-20 season.

Kilpatrick was a dominant player with the Harbour View High Vikings in Saint John before going to the National Collegiate Athletic Association route with University of New Hampshire Wildcats.

She was a Eurobasket.com All-German 2.Bundesliga South Centre of the Year last season and made the division’s first all-star team.

Kilpatrick also has made professional stops in Ireland and Australia following her graduation from UNH.

She was an America East Conference (AEC) all-defensive team member in 2015 and is fourth all-time in blocked shots with the Wildcats with 130.

The personable Kilpatrick also made it work in the classroom as an AEC all academic team player in 2014 and 2015.
