Bell Aliant TV1 To Stream All Final 12 Games
- Updated: February 16, 2017
You want to make it to Harbour Station to watch all the action, soak in the atmosphere and take it all in at the New Brunswick Interscholastic Athletic Association Final 12.
Harbour Station comes alive with youthful exuberance, the smells and sounds of high schools battling on the hardwood for provincial classification supremacy, but you’re unable to be in attendance. The Final 12 committee understands not everyone can make it to Saint John, which is why live streaming plays such a critical role in reaching an audience within the province and beyond.
“There are people literally all over the world who will be tuning in to the Final 12 games,” said committee chairperson David Shiels. “The feedback we always receive is tremendous. Whether it’s a former player, a former teacher from a participating school or relatives now living elsewhere in Canada, the United Stated or beyond, they have access to watch their favourite school or players. It’s a tremendous advantage to live stream our six games.”
Bell Aliant TV1 will live stream all games starting February 24 with the girls and boys AAA games. The AA and A teams take over Harbour Station on February 25.
TV1 already has its NBIAA web page set up and ready for the opening tip. You can access all the games by going to http://player.communitylive.ca/Player/Player/151 and clicking on the game or games you want to see.
“It’s a great service that Bell Aliant TV1 offers and it’s becoming more and more popular, allowing people to tune in that can’t be at the event,” Shiels said. “It certainly adds another dimension to our event.”
