Woodstock Boys Make It A Double For The Thunder

Woodstock Boys match their girls to make it a double championship for the Thunder with a convincing win over Salisbury 87 – 58.

Woodstock got out in front with a dominating first quarter and didn’t look back, cruising to victory over the Cougars from Salisbury.

Woodstock came out of the gates and the Cougars could not contain them, as the Thunder take a massive 31 – 8 lead after 10 minutes of play. The Cougars responded a little in the second stanza, taking the quarter 19 – 17, but it was Woodstock with the 48 – 27 lead heading into halftime.

Woodstock put things away in the as they put up another 20 points, as they held the Cougars to 10. Woodstock were up 68 – 37 with ten minutes between them and another Championship. Salisbury had some life in the 4th, but it was a forgone conclusion. Cougars take the quarter 21 – 19, but Woodstock win 87 – 58 for the title.

The Thunder were led by their SSNB All Star and Final Twelve Player of the Game, Jackson McCartney who scored 24 points, added 16 rebounds and 6 assists for the double-double. Tucker Smith dropped 20 points and had 9 rebounds, Isiah Leighton had 13 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double and Jordan Gallagher chipped in with 14 points.

Salisbury were led by Reid Lewis with 13 points and SSNB All Star and Player of the Game, Koly Slocum who added 12 points
